From the Chief Executive Officer
A word to our partners
IRIBA Foundation has been registered in Rwanda since 2016. We run three programmes, and each is small enough to be seen whole: a nursery and primary school in Nyamata, cross-border trader women in Rubavu and Nyamata, and farmers on the shore of Lake Cyohoha.
To a partner we offer what a partner needs: the registration, the five-year plan, a logframe you can audit, and the people who carry the work every day. We do not promise more than the plan says.
If your institution works on children, on women's rights and trade, or on food and farming in Rwanda, we would like to talk. Ask us for a document and you will have it.

Three programmes
Life School
Nyamata · Bugesera District
Life School Education & Sports Hub, Nyamata, Bugesera District. A nursery and primary school for over 500 pupils from age three, with two daily meals, the national curriculum, and Saturday Ndi Umunyarwanda sessions combining sport and culture. Designed from the outset to be mentored out to neighbouring schools across Bugesera. A five-year plan to 670 pupils by 2030/31.
Women Economic Empowerment
Nyamata, Bugesera District · Rubavu District, Western Province
Women Economic Empowerment and Human Rights, in Nyamata, Bugesera District, and in Rubavu District, Western Province. The Women Cross-Border Trade and GBV project trains cross-border trader women in financial literacy, prevention of gender-based violence, human rights and cross-border trade protocols. Agents of Peace and Security advocate against violence. Awareness campaigns on human rights.
Farmers
Lake Cyohoha · Bugesera District
Farmers, Lake Cyohoha, Bugesera District. Storage facilities for farmers on the lake shore, so that harvests can be held rather than sold on the day. TKTK: scale, dates and funder.

How it is funded
A diversified partnership base: programme grants for feeding, infrastructure and equipment funders for sport, and institutional partners already engaged with the foundation, so that no single pillar depends on one donor. Parents contribute what they can. The Parents Committee and community volunteers carry the day to day.
